Who’s the better horse? I think Karl was a more impressive two year old. This year Maryland can catch up but HAS to win the Hambo to start.

I think Marland has less high speed than Karl but may be tougher. He was flying at the end of some of those 2yo races and the question is, did he improve enough at 3. He did run 26 his last quarter when running second to Nordic Catcher and should improve much more.

Now speaking of Nordic catcher, Ake said he has improved moe than a second each start and You know he wanted to leave on Saturday because he was upset at drawing 6 and said he would rather have #1 which the Americans don't like he said also. He said he would have had tons of speed to combat the one hole but he did say he can be driven harder. His Daddy went a WR at Red mile and he even commented on another video that the pacing blood appears to make him tougher. If he launches and goes to the front, he's gonna go like 53 and 4 to the half and then it's the survival of the fittest and you know Maryland should thrive off that pace. Better than Super Chapter IMO but i am only guessing from that I have seen. The fact that Dexter is choosing Maryland would point to the obvious, he thinks Maryland will win. If he's wrong then he will look a little foolish.

Ake also said Nordic Catcher will be without shoes.

If it's 1:49 instead of this 1:50-51 bullshit then those 2 should be 1st or 2nd IMO

For Maryland to surpass Karl, 3 things probably need to happen
1:Win the hambo
2: Eclipse a million in earnings this season. Karl accomplished this at ages 2 and 3 and I think no other trotter had done that. Maryland made over a million as a 2 year old.
3: #1 and #2 would make them even. #3 is repeating in the breeders crown. This would definitely put Maryland over the top as a 2 time crown champion.

Maryland far and away better horse better stallion prospect better everything.  Karl looks like a filly and was crippled from start of his career.  Well know fact he lived on the shock machine and only raced on two tracks his entire life.  Maryland is built like a stallion with much better pedigree and soundness. Plus look at who Karl raced against - a bunch of nothing.  Amazing Catch can't beat a nw5000 l6 and highland kismet isn't beating anyone.  Not one trotter from that crap is worth a nickel. 

He got the money and he can only race against who he can but he has no pedigree to speak of and he will not make a stud no matter what anyone says.  Diamond creek backed out when they seen the writing on the wall.

besides the Hambo win, Karl really didnt do all that much the rest of the season. Sure it cemented his legacy from the year before but he was very ordinary after that. Maryland still has alot of improvement to go on. I would be shocked that win or lose today that he doesnt make way more money than Karl did post Hambo.

there is no way Nordic Catcher wins the Hambo. They are not going to let him snoozefest slow fractions and if he tries to park out Super Chapter or Emoticon in a wild speed duel like he did with Cuartro a few years back that horse will finish out of the money and another horse like Maryland will just go right on by.

Maryland is the tougher horse. He goes first up & battles. This has happened many times. I don't remember Karl going many tough trips.

What the fuck do you know. You forget, we know who you are. You can't get a license ANYWHERE  . First, you say KARL has no heart, then you say he has been lame his whole life. Any real horseman would say that a horse that was as lame as KARL and succeed like he did was loaded with heart. Instead, a jackass felon like you just bashes and hates because YOU GOT CAUGHT.
