I don't bet elims anymore, so this isn't sour grapes; but Ake's drive on Lady Landia was pathetic.   He never put her in play or gave her any sort of chance to advance to the final.  Put up a catch driver dummy!

Given that was the second start of the year for her, I am not so sure it was the drive that was the problem. She didn't look comfortable at all.

Super Chapter will be 3/5 or less

is that considered wide open?

Just because he is 3/5 doesn't mean he is a lock. I think there are a number who can win (or lose) depending on the trip.

another person staring at fractions instead of the race 73cv.2

Fractions don’t always matter but they absolutely will on Saturday.  Dex does not leave - he likes to either power move at the 3/8ths or go first up - which is how you would drive a 3/5 shot.  That being said we have seen in big races lately that the 2 wide starts immediately making the power move risky.  The only ‘soft’ quarter available will be the 2nd and if you’re trying to make the lead before the half I don’t think that breather will be there.  Too much speed to chase and why Ake’s drive this week is relevant.  A half in 54 or 55 - which means a 3/4s in 122 or 123 in play - puts the backfield on notice.  This field has at least 3 (Maryland, Go Dog Go, Maximus Mearas) that have dropped last quarters in 26 flat.  That is why the fractions matter here - there is too much depth.  Someone will get a 2nd or 3rd over that can sprint home enough to win

I'll put my money where my mouth is.

600 beans at least, 200wp, and any other exotic, connecting wager.

What's wrong with y'all at least Call Sign Merlin mentioned him!

From the bunch that said Prince Hal Hanover could never leave - he's out of his tree, Burke is going to sweep the ADIOS, which dingbats actually made Baeza 3-1  ngc3

Meshuggah, double digit odds for sure - yum yum gimmie some! 150 sub mile!

I ain't debating or discussing any further, just taking some of your money on Hambo day if you bet against him!  See ya then!  ;D

Maximus Mearas S has a better shot to win next week.  And should be big money Scottie Z's choice.

I had that 47 exacta yesterday, tri, was easy and MMS, was off that layoff and with long ass strides.  I love MMS too, who is going to be on Meshuggah?

totally agree and never said he was a "lock"

but the original comment was .."the race is wide open"

when a horse will be 3/5 or less..that is not wide open

the original comment could have said.." I feel several have a good shot", but it didnt

wide open races don't have 3/5 shots

carry on, sorry to correct

I agree with what I bolded

SC is not a lock--but to the eyeball it sure appears he hasn't "spent a nickel" as the Aussies say...DD was looking around but no one could trot and make him work hard

sure this Saturday will be tougher--and there is a chance SC draws the horrible dreaded post #1--that would handicap him and make for a more competitive race--ideally for DD they draw the #5 or #6

the wildcard is Ake with Nordic Catcher

always respect Ake on the big day

Hanover Shoe Farms already acquired a piece of Super Chapter, by the way. I don't recall seeing that in the press anywhere and looks like it was pretty recent.

Would not be surprised if that big colt takes it all, either.
