I took the .40 on the dollar and put down a decent bet for me.  Had me nervous for a while!   ngc3

Makes it really exciting...He "earns" it and he makes his backers "earn" it.  Question is, is that his 4th gear, or his 5th gear like everything is equal then his competition are seemingly standing still.

In the stretch he made up a half-length on the leaders with every stride and drew away in the final strides, it was definitely a nail biter for a while.

I saw it different

Journalism was under a long drive being strongly urged by Rispoli for the last half mile--and was all out to get up

if Journalism wants any shot of 3yo of the year-he must run in Travers(and win)then win the BC Classic(and win)--otherwise he has no shot at catching Mott's horse--which looks highly unlikely

we all see events differently

1 1/8 becomes more competitive as the season goes on.

The one thing I think we all can agree on, as far back in the stretch and from we historically see it almost looks insurmountable for Journalism to win.

The horse deserves everyone's respect, because the one thing he does do is - RESPOND!

Also if that last furlong he pulled comes in is a, again, sub 12, well...those are some long ass strides against his competitors shortening ones.

Journalism, 3 yo, has run triple digit speed figures 8 races in a row!

See him in the PA derby, he needs a "derby" win, see Sovereignty is the JD and Travers and we'll see them both in the BC, again is my prediction.  ;D

I thought yesterday's Haskell was pretty exciting. Gosger, always seems to try hard. Journalism win was pretty cool. He's a great horses. I just think Sovereignty is a tad faster. I hope both run as 4 year olds.

I seriously doubt either one races next year-but I hope you are correct
