As the leader once you select a "lane" in the stretch you have to stick with it. Todd came off the turn a little wide and committed to a path that was off the rail, with plenty of room inside. Once Braxten moves in to take the vacant lane you can't come back over and block it. What happened after is incidental (putting a wheel under etc..) .
I think the focus of the inquiry and decision to DQ was based on the action very early in the stretch before the actual contact.

If it went the other way some would say bad call or whatever.

We wouldn't still be talking about it and would of taken the judges 2 watches, but we are talking still, and they took way longer than the 10 min replay video I've seen.

Was Canadian discrimination?

The US boys better watch their ass up north, because it's coming!  ngc3

What’s hilarious is you have Todd and Braxton standing in the paddock waiting on n the judge’s decision but the judges no longer ever call in the drivers and get their side of the story. Just amazing!

Do the officials in the NFL go talk to players involved?  Or any other sport? NO. The fact that some judges were so incompetent they needed participants input is just sad

I heard that Anthony Zubkoff was now a judge. He wasn't the judge there was he?

Why bother trying to convince that caveman of anything.

The NFL video technology and racing's, wow.

Look, if we can get Stan Turdbred to stop grunting, then walk upright, maybe in a decade or so we'll shoot to turning him into a human being.

Wishful thinking.  ;D

Yeah. When industry people start comparing this to the NFL in any imaginable way its time to immediately pack it up and leave

Where?  After 40 years in the industry only the incompetent judges in Ontario would ask the participants. Do you think they should?

In Tbreds every track has a phone where the jocks weigh in after race. Judges speak to both, and factor or don’t factor it into their decision.
At any standardbred paddock track I’ve been to, the drivers give their side of story.
In this case, the DQ looked very obvious. Only thing that started to make me unsure was how long it was taking. I didn’t have either horse so I’m being objective.
