M1 Pace night selections
« on: July 11, 2025, 11:27:14 PM »
race 7--#11 Sabonis--Dunn will figure out a trip and its Pelling on a huge night of racing

race 8--#9 Sylvia-was given a perfect trip with TBJF doing all the work-Dunn's horse didn't look that sharp last week, Sylvia could be back to top form and actually be a better mare right now and the odds will be right and it is Tetrick. DD drove TBJF like a 1/9 shot going first over, underestimating Sylvia, and he got Tetricked...and it could happen again

race 9-- #9 Ken Hanover--just razor sharp right now and no reason to think he cant make it 6 straight, the guy driving with the purple colors usually knows what to do in these spots

race 12--#11 Miki and Minnie was real good at Mohawk, then the last effort was a complete no try by Dunn for a small purse, doesn't have much early speed so post #11 not that bad expect DD to really try and get this talented filly some type of decent trip-Ryder tops with fillies and mares

one of the main reasons I found these 4 is that they wont get pounded by CAW action after the race starts except maybe Ken Hanover--and only if he blasts hard and makes the front--post #11 will stymie obvious gate advantages so they are somewhat immune to CAW after the bell action

also-these 4 are no price picks by any means-but the posts they have drawn will only enhance the odds they usually would be, so they might actually be of value in these spots

Notes of interest (and of course will be watching for equipment changes, although Ake often bears the $100 fine for not reporting on a timely basis):
1.) Detention Barn races: 7,8,9,10,11
2.) 13 horse field for the 9th race which goes 1 1/8 mile
3.) 8th Race-#3 adds Lasix (not noted at top of Trackmaster I have) and 2nd time Lasix for #8
4.) 9th Race-NO LASIX PERMITTED so #2,#5,#8 and #12 are WITHOUT Lasix after racing last time with Lasix.
5.) 11th Race-#6 1st time Lasix  (Fallout)
6.) 12th Race-#11 Qualified with Lasix and 1st time racing with Lasix (Miki and Mini)
Also, if someone has the original drivers named, it will be helpful to see the choices made.

Great night to watch, and only leaning I have is for the Pace where I think Fallout could come up big without LouPrint there.  He was gutted by Tetrick in the NA Cup elimination 5 weeks ago, has had a chance to get his wind back and now adds Lasix in a race where there should be a very hot pace set.

Race#2-#6 WHATS STANLEY GOT A 8-1 ML I. Contention every start, he’s due to break out for a win & at a price.

Race#7-#3 COACH STEFANOS 3-1 ML James just seems to really get along with this guy, big fractions up front will set it up for his late kick in the final eighth of a mile.

Race#9-#7 HIGHLAND KISMET 20-1 ML This is your typical feast or famine trotter. The bad news is with the added distance, it gives him more opportunity to make a break. The good news is you’ll never get him at this high of a price ever again in this bloated contest. I’ll lay the money down on Dunn with a bomb on the tote board.

Best of luck!  tmbz1

I doesn't matter if he's wrong or correct, at least he has the courage to make a choice on an open forum!!

Because most don't.

Good Luck To All!!

My suggestion is to bet SZ all night and you will come out with a positive ROI. Has quite a few live long shots. Might be a little prejudice as his father used to be my favorite driver and cashed many a ticket on him at the old Woodbine.

Here a few price horses to use in horizontals.

R4 #6 Looks like being prepped for Hambo. Looks ready may take down heavy fave Maryland.

R6 #3 Interesting McCarthy stays with 3, done everything asked of it so far this year after banking 350k last year.
#7 Well prepped, Melander off the qua, bet down every start last year. May be poised for upset.

R9 #9 Date Night Hanover. Elista Hanover raced huge in last but this guy got pinned to rail shuffled out back and was 5th over. Zeron didnt get after it too much but she rallied thru stretch mite get better flow and added distance may help.

#11 Women of Passion Dislike the post but if she is gonna be 15-1 or more I can think of alot worse horses Ive bet. Went a big mile last year in Lex lil worried shes faced limited competition and usually forwardly placed. See some vulnernable shorter priced horses that she worth a flyer.

Pick for the Pace

#4 Prince Hal Hanover- Got his lungs blown out in last, ran down by a good one. Will be forwardly spotted and Toddy will work his magic.

The program pages do not matter. Bet AKE whenever he races tonight as he always has them "ready" with whatever he does stakes time!
