$7.25 is outrageously low and below the poverty linei would hope/assume that is meant for students at the very leastas i have said take some of the money from the drivers and trainersshould the top 10 or 20 drivers be making $400-$700k per year , sure its a tough job and has its time limitations but that seems a bit muchshould trainers who have 50 or more horses be getting 5% on top of their daily rate , how often do they sit behind any of those horses, most of the time ( save fore the biggest money events) they are not even at the track when the horses racealso when a horse wins the owner gets billed $$ for the groom win, doesn't even come from the traineri would pay drivers 3%i would pay trainers 3%figure out a way that assistant trainers automatically get 1%figure out a way that grooms get .5%put the rest into a benefits plando that and you might get some decent people who want to work in the industry
