I was going over trainer options for Monticello.  Thankfully I don't race there but clearly the first guy I'd cross off the list for a bill or a deal is Tom Merton.  He's hard on the horse and can't win unless they let him.  He's 1 for 500 at Tioga, just a waste.

Think he's tough on one? Here he is at Golden Shoe training one with his two brothers. Disgusting. ZERO respect for a horse. They should have never given him his license back.

The world's worst trainer driver, sucks in the bike (numbers don't lie).  Takes it out on the horse cause he can't get it done, why don't they just get rid of the guy for good?  Didn't he have a lifetime ban?  Low percentage trainers always get "stuck" using him.

I just think a guy who has been barred for life and gets a kick out of hurting animals is a waste of life.  Owners associating with him that know the real Tom Merton are just as bad.
