Louprint is a good horse but that is an ordinary field.

I was just getting ready to say the same thing.  Wrenn and Boyd’s only drives of the night and they made the most of them.  Boyd put that horse in play from the start, otherwise he had no shot.  Great race and both with excellent drives.

Top 3 all only had 1 drive each the whole night

I root for the USA and Burke is the only American left that can compete on the biggest stage against all the foreigners that have destroyed Harness Racing.

Louprint is a good horse but that is an ordinary field.

The horse he beat is just as talented as any horse whose lost this race. You want the winner to throw a 26 last quarter at you with thst trip and go 46? He's way better than Good. Sounds like sour grapes to me

1:19.1, 1:47.1 nothing ordinary about that. Six horses within two and a quarter lengths.

What's really nuts is going 1:47.3 and not getting a check.

Sour Grapes, LOL. I didn't bet anything; I hardly ever bet. That field was very ordinary. The second horse ran a great race, and we will see what he does next. I am going on what I see, I have owned plenty, won plenty of big races, and I stand by what I said. So far, this year's crop of 3-year-olds is not the greatest and I emphasize SO FAR.

Nothing ordinary about a stakes record on a cool night at Mohawk.

Regardless of the "quality" of the field,  Louprint has a huge heart and courage. He dug in after a brutal 3rd quarter when it looked like Boyds horse was going to roll on by. I've seen him do that 3 or 4 times. Those types are a dream to drive.

Louprint "only" paced a middle half of 52 flat last night. The fact that he lived to tell about it shows how great a colt he is.

Madden Oaks was tremendous in defeat--both he and Louprint are eligible to the Meadowlands Pace. Should be a fantastic rematch.

Congratulations to Ronnie Wrenn Jr and Louprint, not so much to the trainer and connections. It's had to have been a tough year for him with Hunter's tragic death. Score one for the Midwesterners driving colony. On another note, my selection Captain Optimistic was hung the whole mile by Dexter and still got 4th without a ton of urging down the lane. If that was a "regular" race someone would have given him a hole. It was nice to see the no holds barred, non buddy system in effect, at least for a few races. Watch out for Captain Optimistic moving forward.
