Sorry to change the banter on the forum, but we are almost 1/2 way through the year and Kid Beckwith is leading driver at Saratoga, Plainridge and Meadowlands...Bri ght Future ahead...not a big fan of Mom and Pops, though  ;D

Has had some pretty crappy drives lately in the bigger money races.  Fell asleep in the NA Cup Elim and blew up the backfield.  Last night in the NJSS Final got rimmed the whole mile from the 5 hole with a horse that should have been looking for a trip, backed up through the field and screwed pretty much everyone inside and behind him.  Lots of overdrives and times where he is uncertain leaving

Bright future but the Big M driving title is because none of the big names come back until March.

You praise the son, but dislike the parents who nurtured the kid to success?

JMO... they're not good people...got a history of stiffing and screwing a lot of people.. whether it's the help, the blacksmith, the vets, or owners that lend them money.. the mother is a great cheerleader but is a beard for Mark.. hasn't jogged or trained a horse forever Mark farms out about a dozen horses to trainers that wouldn't have a horse to train but makes $300-$500 on each horse so how many owners think he's training when he's not...yeah, I'm not a big fan....   and after reading Merlin's response to my post, gotta agree with him of late

Biggest stage is too much for him at this point in his career.  He will get there eventually.

And BTW, I wasn't praising the kid I was simply pointing out that he is the leading driver at three race tracks and that he's got a future... learn to read and at this point in his life, he is overmatched in big races against good drivers.. better suited driving his father's... I mean mothers horses that lay over fields by 3 seconds at Saratoga and Plainridge

Agreed - wonder if the number of drives starts to get scaled back some

Hopefully you do better today! It's gotta be tough to ship those things up and down the Thruway to get your head kicked in. At least he paid for the gas and tolls last night!!!   ;D ;D 11.wp ngc3

I agree with Cobalt Kerry. Grandfather Silverman wiped out more jews than Hitler. Father was always a shady character. He seems like a friend until you have a friendly disagreement and then he won't ever look or speak to you. The mother is just a name on the program. She does little to nothing with the horses.

Driving is a lot more fun, when you lay over the field, 2-3 seconds... 73cv.2 73cv.2 73cv.2

Has any driver ever been leading driver at three tracks at the same time? I remember Herve leading Yonkers and Freehold but I can't think of someone that led at three tracks.

Harrahs PHL.....Mar-Dec
Dover............ ..Nov-Mar

around 2008-2010--since Dover and PHL only overlapped about 2 months--not sure if that qualifies
