County Fairs start today in Ohio

Fairs in Ohio used to be a place where the little guy could race ones that aren’t stakes caliber, have fun and maybe make a little money.  Guys now will win a $40k Sire Stake on Saturday and drop them in the fair Tuesday for a training mile while stealing a few grand.  Beaver, AMac, Weaver, etc jamming these things in.  Hell even Virgil will do it toward the end of year to see if he can get points and grab another $20k in Fair Final

2 wins   2 2nd's  and a third for Clegg. On to Circleville Sat

15 races both Sat + Sun at Circleville . Clegg has 7 in each day. I'm sure most coming off
racing at Paulding [June 9th +10th] but I'm sure he wishes he could have snuck in another
start for them before this weekend. You have to make sure they're tight.

Clegg ends up with 4wins  4 seconds  3thirds from 14 starters at Circleville this weekend.
Matinee at Delaware Co. Fairgrounds Tuesday 17 heats. Beaver has 23 horses entered.

Unless I miss my guess, Ottawa is next. Marion always run on and around July 4th.

I was right. Next up Ottawa Mon. 17 heats [3pm post]and that'll be a good name for them 'IF'
they race. Oh my, those dry dusty fairgrounds can get toasty. Clegg with just a measly 7 entered.

In classic plop fashion, I feel I should say 'So is your mom' but I'm a bigger man than that.

So they raced at Ottawa today and my it's been oppressive outside. Clegg two winners , a 2nd + 3rd.
There were 12 horses on the card that there were no tickets sold. One of those went gate to wire
 by 14 lengths. 17 more delicious beauties carded for tomm. Don't forget the water and sunscreen.
