He was far from a Golden Child to many of the old school brass up there. He dominated for years with Almost Doesn't Count Stable and rubbed more than one trainer the wrong way. Just like Moreau, there are no crocodile tears being shed and quietly most are very happy. And I'm sure there are at least two other trainers that went from almost being out of the business to winning a ton and some big races to boot. When it doesn't make sense, there's usually a damn good reason. All the cliches, you know "I have great help" or my personal fav "I'm big on nutrition" have zero to do with the success.
