I was thinking it was more like 5 also.  But it says he is 13/80 ..hard to believe that.  and 8 place and 8 show. 

I know he wasn't there early on but he's had some zero effort drives.  Not like him

     He wont always gut a horse from the 8 hole but.... Isnt he winning the driving title??

Just looked up the ages of the final driver standings for the 2025 season

1. Ranger         66
2. Beckwith      22
3. Graffam       32
4. M Cushing    27
5. Athearn        27

He's obviously lost a step, but he's still the one to beat, keeping the young guns aware of his presence.  40-year gap on most

What a year he had. Missed the 1st 2 weeks for a whipping violation in the last race in 2024. Doesn't drive for the 2025 leading trainer (Athearn). Drives very few for Nickerson. Heck, he didn't even drive all of Lindy farms horses this year. Only drove a few for Mark and a few for Cullipher. You figure all that in, this year may have been his best driving year at Plainridge for the past few. Can't wait until next year.
