Have no idea why I’m watching the 2nd But was the announce pinched in the mouth and have a fat lip ? I can’t understand half what he is saying.
Yeah that's the guy that called the $500,000 Borgata final last Friday.. some on here call him Elmer Fudd. I'd rather have senile Roger Huston calling a race and that's saying something.
I wasn't sure if it was Mr or Mrs Fudd until I heard it talk. May be a great person but please Yonkers, find him a different job. The excellent announcers of years passed must be rolling in their graves knowing that this man is calling races at Yonkers Raceway.I looked over at the track feed and was like who's that woman and I unmuted it for a sec and was dying laughing saying omg that's Fudd 🤣🤣🤣 my friend said that's a guy lmao 🤣 😂 yikes
If I don't like a particular announcer, or broadcaster on TV, I just mute the sound. I have eyes and can see for myself what's going on. Too many announcers feel the need to talk all the time like they're paid by the word, sometimes, silence is golden.
I can't stand those announcers either. As for Jessica Paquette, she only got the job because she's a woman and a cheap hire. I think she's a terrible announcer, but some people are afraid to criticize her because she's a woman. Trevor Denman who recently retired had the knack to pick up a horse when he was about to make his move. Warkentin's favorite thing to say is, such and such is locked in with pace, assuming they have pace, but the majority of them wind up having no pace when they get out.
How he ever made it into the Hall of Fame is totally political because everyone from Meadowlands seems to get in. He tries to be funny sometimes with his calls too, but he's not funny. Jessica may be a great person but her announcing is nothing to write home about. Not sure if you're familiar with former Philadelphia Flyers announcer Gene Hart. He was an excellent hockey announcer but as a race caller at Brandywine Raceway was terrible.
