How many dogs and cats are put down every year at shelters?  Horses are livestock. You may not like it but there are millions of starving people in the world that would love to see horse meat more available

so what happened to the horses in the past after they were done racing
i can appreciate that perhaps there are more horses today than 40 years ago ( but maybe not) but what did Stanley Dancer and William Haughton etc do with their horses after they  were finished racing

Just to clarify the breeding numbers are way down over last 40 years. Only difference today is that the Karen’s think every animal you buy you should keep forever. But they represent a small number of Americans that think all animals should live in the house with you. Most have never been around a live horse. MP was a trainer apparently. Maybe he could provide a list of every horse in his stable and what happened when the couldn’t compete. From his USTA records he should have a few in his back yard

Where are your stats on "most are end up in kill pens"? Thats BS and you know that. I guess in your mind we should not even breed horses anymore since they can only be "abused" or at least in your definition of abused. Heck, since we humans to are in the same circumstances as the horses, we should not exist in this world as we just are abused ourselves, no less abuse the planet.
