Sadly I just heard the news although I seen the Hunter Myers thread last night and by scrolled by as I figured it was another thread ripping on someone.  Sadly 99% of the stuff on here is negative about someone and cutting them down.  RIP young man. Just awful

Exactly some of you motherfuckers are fucked in the head. A young man loses his life and you start talking about Mike, He called you out and he is 100 percent right. Go and talk about him on the 2,000 other threads you created but doing that on this is pretty fucked.

Both Gaagoots and Petrelli are garbage arguing on this thread like a couple of 6 year olds while a young man is fighting for his life. You got a 5th rate wanna be racist owner and a shit shoveling tattle tale that interjects himself where he doesn't belong to make himself feel relevant. How would both you clowns feel if that was your son on life support. Take that shit somewhere else. And prayers up for Hunter
I agree both should be banned from ever posting again on this site. You to go play your high school games somewhere else. This is the worst tragedy in the sport since Shelly’s accident

I was at Harrington the night Hal Belote was killed. Ron Pierce's horse actually won the race, but they declared it a no contest after the race.

I was watching the race at home--i was sick to my stomach

it was considered a no contest

I doubt Ron Pierce was driving on a Monday afternoon for a tiny purses

Brandon Givens had a compound  leg fracture-possibly leading to his opioid addiction

Steve Warrington-his best friend- escaped with scrapes and bruises--was never the same mentally and retired soon after

Brad Hanners was also in the race not seriously injured

He had been driving regularly at Dover the past few years and was driving at Harrington on Mondays. As I recall it was the 1st race of the night and the purse was somewhere around $12,000.

Spare a thought to the owners/trainer/driver for the horse that broke that caused the chain reaction. This type of thing goes on with regularity and without any problem to the others in the race. I feel bad for those people because it just happened to result in a death.

This is part of the sport but I bet they are feeling sick to their stomachs.

I was thinking about this yesterday.  Connections to the horse that broke have to be quite sick over what happened.  Accidents happen but still.  This can't be easy for them.
