Was a great kid, with God given ability, leaves behind a 1 year old child. Drove for me at meadows and nfd.  Rest in peace!

Someone posted he’s in very critical condition, so I don’t know what to believe.
If true, then at least there is hope.

As much as I wish that were true it is unfortunately not the case. Hunter has passed away. I am sick to my stomach.

On FB-

“Chloe’s dad is asking that people quit sharing that Hunter Myers has passed!!! Please respect their family. Hunter is in very critical condition with a brain injury but is very much still alive but on life support. I am standing at the hospital and this is 100% facts. Please pray for this family they need a miracle 💚💚 The family will update everyone with facts when they are ready.”

Could someone tell me what happened?
   Who else was involved?
    How are the horses?
I’m sorry don’t mean to stir things up

DRF reported the other 4 drivers were ok just really sore bumps and bruises.. although they also prematurely reported Hunter's passing which is extremely negligent.
All horses are ok. Merriman, Brady brown,  Jeremy Indof and Case Bateson were the other drivers involved. Dave Palone's horse was in the lead on the backside and broke and it was a chain reaction.. nasty nasty accident

Looked like Merriman went flying. Brady Brown avoided it.

Very sad. Didn’t know him but sad. All I’d like to say is if these drivers would move there hand holds up to normal position so they can steer away from danger. He couldn’t move the handholds were in his and others backs   And who invented this stupid ness of post parading holding the buckles and hand hold are behind them.  This tragedy could’ve been avoided.

shout out
