Should he or should he not?
« on: March 18, 2025, 05:44:00 AM »
Should Brett Beckwith contlnue to compete at the Big M for the whole year?
Saratoga is underway, Plainridge in a month, and here we find him the leading driver at the Swamp. Yes, a lot of the main acts have not been there, but the eye test tells you, the kid belongs. Now he could take on a grueling schedule. He does not like days off.
Mon/Tues/Thur, Plainridge
Wed/Sun, Saratoga
Fri/Sat, Meadowlands
When Harrah’s Opens, maybe he slides in there on Fri and does Sun instead of Saratoga. Time will tell.

What do you think he does or has anyone heard anything?

He was asked that by Dave Little a few weeks ago and his response was, he hadn't made up his mind yet, but will drive where he thinks he can make the most money, which wouldn't be Meadowlands when all the big boys are back, because most of the top trainers are already committed to certain drivers and alot of his drives would be ones other drivers chose off of.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
