Right, now I kind of remember. He had another bad one a few years ago too, right? Back injury/injuries I think.

As far as the fundraiser(s) or whatever it was----seriously, would you feel comfortable giving monies to a cause that Mike was directly involved with and/or had control over? I for one would not give to any money to a fundraising effort where Mike was directly "involved"-----other than simply calling people's attention to a fundraiser. If Mike had the ability to touch or control the money, had a say in how the money was being allocated, spent, etc., or anything like that, I would not give a dime. It is simply a matter of credibility, or in this case, lack of. Look at the guy's history, stature, reputation, etc. I would give money directly to the person in need, no questions asked.

I think everyone realized it was a joke. It is simply reflective of Mike's reputation and disease----which he of course does not get. It's delusional. Nothing more. Listen, he believes he has stature in the industry. He believed he actually had a role "representing" the Freehold horsemen. Countless meetings, discussions with the State, all that was happening----and he wasn't included, invited to one meeting, or had any involvement. However, he sends some emails, makes some statements, preaches, rants and raves----and he then lives in a reality that he was not only involved, but was representing the horsemen. Is this not sick? Is this not sad? If you think it's not, then good luck with that.

Hey, if that's what you think, so be it. The way I see it, he brings that attention to himself. For a long time I said let him be like the child who throws the temper-tantrum. Just ignore him. But when I see a sensitive issue, or he attacks me, that I will speak to. Not the way he does, but I will speak to it.
