Did he give up driving?

He sure had his horse in the 1st doped and ready to go lol.

Beckwith Stiffs then wins the next then goes off stride in the 3rd at the start.  gotta love it

The mile went 157 last half 59. 4 last quarter 31 don’t seem too doped up to me

He needs to go help his kids’ stable in Cali!  Their results indicate they don’t know which end the feed goes in!   ngc3

I don't follow up or Saratoga, but he's a known commodity. Been around a long time. When I thought of him, first thing that came to mind was that he always (used to) own virtually everything in the barn (or a major piece of every horse). Have no idea if that's still the case. He also (used to) shoe his own horses. I don't know if he still does. I thought he's driving less these days, but I don't know. After a bad accident a few years ago he seemed to drive less frequently.

He cut back driving since he broke a leg in an accident I think less than a year ago.

That accident he had last year really jacked him up and the impression i get is that his driving days are behind him. There's nothing quite like laying in bed with your legs facing different directions to take the enjoyment out of sitting behind one

driving is a young mans game
older you get the slower reaction time you have
and as i am sure he has noticed you don't heel well after an accident/injury
realistically once you get to 50 years old just train or do something else
