Bad checks
« on: February 21, 2025, 01:53:34 PM »
How do horsemen eat and survive with all these bad checks you see on the usta lately.  Worst part is they are for starting fees. Clearly they aren't doing to well if they can't pay the starting fees.  What gives?

Covid exposed how these people live. One week after the lockdowns they were SCREAMING poverty they had no money to live and to feed their animals. Everyone including the top one percent took the free money and business grants. They do always have money for booze and drugs though living hand to mouth week to week. There's a term for that, but very racist. They can laugh at me all they want too. The harness racing culture for the most part is uneducated trash that usually has three kids in three different barns. That goes both ways for the men and women. Monticello Raceway is a shining example of a barn area where almost everyone is related.  ngc3

Harness racing has a lot of cross breeding, look at any track or training center. Tons of family connections.

Why the slam on harness racing?  I've dealt with both harness and t-bred trainers for years.  The harness ones usually paid me.  I can't say the same about the throw-a-way breed. The t-bred breed may have a lot of money at the very top, but for the average guy their stud fees and training bills are out of site.  Their industry is in no better shape than harness.  I like the family atmosphere that makes up most of harness racing.  If you don't like harness racing, go to another site.

All I said was there was a lot of cross breeding at any track, I don't think it's as prevalent with the Tbres. Places like the Meadows, Vernon, Buffalo, Northfield, and the entire state of Delaware should do DNA test to just be safe, ya ain't fucking a close relative. No knock on harness racing,
