Watched the last race.  Nice reminiscing by the announcer leading up to, during, and after the race.
Too bad they couldn’t handle that much every race day.

I wasn’t there today, but was there to see Red Bow Tie, my uncle’s horse, Sweet Michelle run 3rd in the Breeder’s Crown in the 90s, and his trotter, Make It Hot, win the Charles Smith Memorial in 2004.
Farewell.

Before the Civil War..sad.. gonna have to break out my old VHS tape from '94'
Breeder's Crown..Village Jiffy beat Riyadh. If I'm not mistaken, Bill Robinson's
son drove Riyadh. Shady Daisy won that day too.

Looks like 700 hundred today a very respectful number . Anyone taking pictures of the locks going on after the races .

Those were the days!   I'll take my memories over most "progress" any day of the week.

Didn’t the Sopranos have a cast member referred to as “3-5, 7-9”?

The biggest reasons are people who went to the track were mainly older people, and alot of them have died off and no one replaced them. Also, too many other alternative forms of gambling you don't have to wait 20 or 25 minutes for between races. Unless you grew up with the horses, you have little interest in betting them, that's why you don't see many younger people at the track.
