Mal Burroughs Dies.
« on: September 20, 2024, 06:59:43 PM »
Mal died today-NJ born and raised in NJ-he will long be remembered as the man who built the Meadowlands-among many other accomplishments.H e won the Oaks and Hambletonian-and the only Amateur driver to do so--donating his winnings to Charity.
He was a truly great man--he certainly accomplished a great many projects in his life and will be sadly missed.
A life well lived I say.
RIP Mal.

Absolutely. A self-made man, and it couldn't be said better than you stated...a life well lived. Created a lot, made a lot, gave a lot, helped a lot, lived a lot. He will be missed by many.

  • dougie: Got chicken and bet $10WP onWP on Horacio De Paz'shorse who won at 8-1. I love the trainer, but was afraid of the layoff. Coming back strong with $20Win and $60 Place on #7Elegant in the 7th at the Spa.
