Mirage Hanover
« on: September 19, 2024, 08:06:41 PM »
No disrespect to Captain Albano who simply got it done and finally showed his promise from last year but Mirage put in a monstrous effort....big fan of this horse and he has been hard luck all year and put up some incredible last quarters. Last race was bearing down on Ruthless Hanover in a 147.3 mile. Looked like he was going to get totally cooked after being parked the whole Jug final and somehow was still coming on to be a strong 2nd. I think he is going to be huge on the big tracks this fall at Red Mile and BC at the Big M

He ran huge in his elimination.. 3rd out of 7 hole is no small feat.. and he was closing hard..and the final was a monsterous effort. Hopefully it didn't take to much out of him the rest of the year.. it also helped with Dexter driving instead of Stratton or Tetrick

Smart drive by Dex, not losing his cool and trying to march to the front. I kept waiting for him to fade and it never happened. Captain Albano had a huge day, no doubt, but Mirage was an especially impressive runner-up.

Not sure but Tim wasn't in Delaware at all this week. It'll be interesting to see who drives moving forward.
