Mohawk Monday. A Race 4 WTF
« on: September 16, 2024, 09:18:29 PM »
Jonathan Drury and  1-5 #6 The Vicar got away with bloody murder late in the lane tonight.

Mcnair's #9 at 7-1 had the hard-used favorite clearly in his sights steaming in along the 'rail' trying to get through on inside.

Drury slight move inside hooks wheels with Mcnair, keeping the 7-1 #9 literally locking Mcnair's wheels so they no longer turned

100% interference ended being waved off..result stood..and 1-5 stayed up.

A headscratcher is understatement.  There is just no way that can stay up.

Any judges out there..take look at head on shot and share your take

thnx

If not 1-5 he does NOT stay up. 100%.  that shouldn’t matter but OBVIOUSLY  it did.  Without a doubt

Don't agree with you: Why did McNair not pull out he had plenty of room ?
Why not show head on shot from beginning of stretch.
McNair did not skim the pylons if he had he would of gone by #9. He had more room inside that he didn't take.

glad you're not a steward Toronto - what are you possibly looking at????  Drury did nothing wrong - McNair completely at fault for the hooking of wheels - coorect call was made

I had both horses in my horizontals so was hoping for a DQ.  But, honestly, Drury did nothing wrong.  McNair gambled and lost.  Too bad, so sad.
