If you had the choice…

If you had the choice, would you attend the Jug or the Gold Cup and Saucer?  Thinking of making a road trip.

Saucer is just 30-40 claimers.

Cup and Saucer.

I think so, too. Never been to PEI and the atmosphere there from watching the live streams looks really cool. Though I would like to get to the Jug as well at some point.

The little brown jug was an awesome time. But people that have been to both prefer the gold cup and saucer. I’m going to try to make it there before I get to old to really enjoy it

You’re correct. The event and atmosphere are the draws for the Saucer.

I’ve been to both a few times and the Cup and Saucer hands down. It’s right in the heart of beautiful Charlottetown which had amazing restaurants, pubs, etc.  There are amazing beaches, golf, etc all within 15 minute drive.  The racing is great, the atmosphere is the best in all of harness racing.  You wouldn’t regret going.  Lots of stuff to do for everyone of all ages. Also, if you come from the US you get a great exchange rate on your dollar.
Anyone that is a harness racing fan should go at least once….and for the whole week.  It is a whole week of racing leading up to it.

I agree the Jug is a great time but PEI pulls out all the stops. Beautiful island great people. Whole town shuts down for 1/2 hour for the race.
