Brandon Bates seriously hurt in first at Oak Grove

Horse went down, he flipped over and appeared to get run over. Races are still delayed

Horse appeared to be okay, she was loose after the race and caught by the outrider

He was flown To hospital in Memphis hopefully he’s ok

Hard fall

No broken bones I was told

Bates is a good guy

It was hard to see, looked like his head got run over too, that was a pretty bad accident especially since only one horse was involved

Lightning struck twice in 10 minutes as
R9 97-1 winner Devon Tharps. Rail trailing 9
followed
5 mins later lightning in area..delay.

Some would say the 97-1 devon tharps winner was enough of a shocker
