Mohawk Monday
« on: March 11, 2024, 12:00:49 PM »
Race#4-#4 FEAR THE DICE 3-1 ML Claimed again last start & will race for Bourassa tonight. Lots of gate speed in here tonight, expect him to leave as well. Hoping he doesn’t get starched early.

Race#6-#2 TORONTO 9-2 ML Back in with bottom condition horses where he typically does his best performances. I’d expect James to power drive #4 in here who will go off below even money , so Hensley is worth a bet in here at increased odds. Perfect spot to find a helmet to cover, hopefully he’s covered up to the stretch drive.

Racr#10-#5 BIG BULLY 5-1 ML ***BEST BET*** #10 been crushing these but draws outside & has a new barn. Not much gate speed in here 6-9 , looks like McNair can leave & should end up getting a pocket ride.

Best of luck!  tmbz1

Race 6 # 6 Capt Jack Hanover ..They bet the piss out of him off pretty shitty form last week and almost held. Mark of 1:49.4 just last year at Dover. Him and the five really only speed. Down the road. Good luck.

( I think your right on this one, as long as he gets a little more strategy behind him, this will be a solid pick).

I truly dislike giving out chalk but sometimes I have to take what they give me.  Race 8 # 8 Isitfridayyet dominated similar with a powerful first over victory.  Could easily have gone around again because nobody was beating him that night.  Waxman bought the post which indicates confidence that the horse should be as good or better than he was last week.  Looks like a single in the late horizontals to me although I admit Bitter Truth's Capt. Jack selection does make a lot of sense if you feel Isitfriday is vulnerable.

Mac pointed out, I have the wrong race #. It's Race eight.

More chalk.  After reviewing the videos from last week, I believe Pemberton (R#5, PP#2) will be extremely hard to beat.  Looked like Muscle Hill in a race he could have needed with Renaud in the bike so the tremendous upgrade to J Mac plus that start under his belt has to help.  No price but it is what it is.

Totally agree Mac. Have Pemberton as a single. Like you, not one to give out chalk [knowinlgy, American History ended up being dead fave SAT] Special Mission has been awesome but not against these and still hauling Hudon around.

1st. Phoenix was blocked the entire stretch in last, I knew 15-1 was a pipe dream but 5/2, yikes

That horse can really burn the money . 57.2 half being where he was. No chance then. Someone forgot to tell
Ratchford he is supposed to bow down and be intimidated by the big boys. He cooks one up now and then but he's
not afraid. Starting to get a few drives for his efforts too.  tmbz1

These drivers take turns, there is no doubt. Roy's move when he has no intention of winning is to start near the back and make a wide rally to hit the board or get a check.

interesting start to the card

race #1, phoenix 15-1 ml, yes he was blocked last week and gets a driver change, tough bet at 2-1 from 10 hole but wins comfortably

race #3, nasey , 10-1 ml, , ok we see the trainer change , but 2-1 in that class, i mean the 5 horse had bet him 3 times in the past , and nasey just gets picked off late

guess you dont really need a program with the past lines, just follow the money

Gee, I hope JMac didn't strain himself with that exhilarating stretch effort on Pemberton. First leg of the series but $30k either way.
Would have expected at least a little more.
