Track Handle.... Avg per race ?
« on: March 11, 2024, 10:06:19 AM »
Was trying to find stats on track race per avg handle.... Couldn't get it narrowed down.

Why I say per race --- since some tracks race year round, some race 14-15 races per card.

Once you get past the top two.... who comes next ?

1. Meds
2. Mohawk
3.
4.
5,

Northfield --- Monticello --- Hoosier -- Does Chicago still handle when racing ? -- Cal Expo can have a big pool one race and small the next.

I would say #3 Northfield, #4 Monticello and flip a coin for #5

That's what I was thinking ---

4 Monti
5 ?? Chicago or maybe Hoosier ??

Yes correct

folks shouldn't look at handle as some type of metric

Gural gives away his signal to Elite Turf Club virtually for free--that is he provides a monster rebate for a few venues

so when folks see and say "wow, look at M1 they handled $3mil"--that doesn't tell the whole story

same for Monticello

Monticello is getting away with murder. One of the largest avg/race handles and they don’t put ten cents into their facility. The place should be condemned.

  • Calhoun: Thx I'm leaning to the 5 there.  Those CD/GP full field races look the best on the page. 1/2 length from being a G3 winner.
