Most people in the harness industry had no interest in track at Belmont. Shipping in would be an absolute nightmare

Yeah can you imagine sitting on the Verrazano for two hours with a truck and trailer. After Belmont reopens bye bye aqueduct

Yonkers certainly won’t need more than 50 seats. What they will need are places for my Jamaican friends to throw away all their weed butts.  The cheapest place to get stoned is Yonkers in the summer when all the boys come out to bet their $2.00.

I don't think so. They have a business plan that includes event space. It will truly be a state of the art multi use building.

I don't think that's the plan.

More like ASCOT .. There's Ascot then there's the short ROYAL Ascot meet.. lots of Very High $$ Temporary structures.

The new building w/b 275,000 sq feet.  The old one is over 1,000,000 sf.

As an aside, will King Charles live to see it?

The issue with that

is that the Belmont grandstand is not enclosed. It gets mighty cold in there in sep/oct when it gets windy.

They would need a renovation of Belmont

to add year-round harness or just move the harness in the cold months to Aqueduct with the TB's.

The issue with your post is you are a #1 Grade AAA NITWIT.

1. They are renovating Belmont
2. They are replacing the grandstand
3. Part of the grandstand will be enclosed
4. There will be lights for night racing
5. Aqueduct will be torn down in 2025.

You reallly need to get your head outta your ass.
