people at the RBTA have Ron burke as their posterchild. He is the Face of the USTA just because he is the leading trainer by default.
He was able to talk people with money into investing in horses. they basically buy them all. they will spend a 100k to win 105k. he has a monpoly on the system. Unless you or your owners are gonna come in with the same mindset you cant win in the long run. because he is the posterchild for the industry if burke looks bad so does the sport. they cant have their #1 stable and #1 trainer looking bad.

NOTHING changed, only name in program. Ronnie still talks to all the trainers, Mickey J takes is orders just like everyone else and gets paid like everone else. I wonder if the USTA will consider Mickey J's earnings and wins in Ronnie's stats if he's shy of 20mil. They will never clean up the sport as long as this goes on in the largest stable in harness racing. They have NO incentive to stop him.
