Great line! Actually, there was a trotter up in Maine about 10 years ago named Coincidence.

Marcus Melander 2023 - 53 wins in 239 starts, 2.7 million earned, just missed in this years Hambo. I doubt he will be running back to Sweden with his rail between his legs anytime soon   Love to know who some of these fools posting on here really are   ngc3

Has he won a race since thus post?
I see someone bought  call of the wild off him and won impressively right away....

has he won a race in the last 6 days? I don't know and don't care. He remains a TOP conditioner of trotters and HIGH money earner per start.

no comment on them selling one for 10 cents on the dollar that ran 4 times for them but wins first start for bob lafoon in 57.2 last quarter in 27?

[/quote   Why would I comment. Does getting beat with a marginal trotter at Pocono or somebody improving first out negate melander's career. Of course not. He has amassed almost 9 million in earning past 18 months and just missed winning this year's Hambo due to a miracle trip for Scotty. Melander remains in the top 3 of trotting trainers by every measure.

Marcus Melander so far in 2023    248 / 54  42  41  2.7 million earned   .367 batting average    among the sports highest

Bur according to you, every horse has to "make it" or he is trash. Is that the point?

my point is it MATTERS how much money youve put into gaining that return.
he raced million dollar horses against nw1 all spring. so his udrs is high
its about ROI. NO ONE not even AKE or JIMMY pays more for horse flesh
they win races everyday.
and you can go years without soomeone improving of these operations. yet in the time since this thread started MM hasnt won a race but the one horse he sold wins even though he couldnt keep him flat??

start letting the facts settle in before just beig dumb and arguing a losing battle

Gotcha   Well, I put my 50 years in and never had a half million dollar baby, so i never had these concerns. thanks for the education. Good luck with your string of baby trotters and your axe to grind against Melander.
