Good idea bad idea
Can horses get hurt tryin to do that ?

Is it a good idea

In qualifiers?

I remember filly breaking down after going 50 in a qualifying race few yrs ago at bigm

Opinions?

Any body know  nice horses who broke trac records in qualifying

Then got hurt

 ??!

No NEVER a good idea. An owner that made the investment isnt worried about a qualifier that doesnt pay.

Any driver who broke a track record with one of my horses in a damned qualifier would NEVER EVER drive for me again. I don't care who they are

Depends on the circumstances. If it's an overall T.R. at a well known race track No. I have set a record of 2:01 with a 2yr old pacing filly at would be considered as a  "B" track. I was surprised when the Paddock Judge told me.( That was in 82,my how the breed has evolved!)SMH

ITS FUCKING STUPID FOR ANY TRAINER TO ALLOW TO HAPPEN. The only time it would make sense is a Stallion Prospect that didnt time well in a race. But thats a horse near career end.
