Spend that money on other things like roads, bridges, schools, etc. and you get just as many jobs and those are thing the people want while the vast majority of people could care less about harness racing. The industry should support itself.

It's a simple equation. Harness Racing contributes NOTHING to society. If gone tomorrow the only people who will notice are those in it. Steals money, defrauds the public, kills horses. Walk down most streets and ask the public what The Hambletonian is.
