Monti tuesday july 11. horses to watch..

Two lesser lights to keep eye on

Race 1
ANYONE can give you #2 and #3's chances:
both threats. BUT its what you do, if anything, with ADAM MOYKENS #4 ROCK ON LINE - his second trip since B. Parker left him..the #9 yr old finally gets post relief in shorter field.
4th logical, third hopeful, 2nd if it all breaks right, and 1st..well, that'd be an upset..but not impossible.

Race 2
Mr F. Bourgault, training at .261 and driving at 'improving'.223 and dropping board 'price bombs' with much regularity, has 4 in today (2nd 4th 6th 8th)..last three all with board hits last wk.
But its the 2nd race that intrigues today. Not that outside #7 MISS QUALITY 8-1 m/l is expected to deliver fm8000 ticket today, but might. No, its more likely, this is the 'final tune-up' for a top finish next week. Three weeks fresh and with tightener last week under her belt, the 7 yr old mare has dropped from two fm10,000clm wins april and may. Only real question: Was the #7 'worked too hard' may 20- jun 7? Pay close attention to form from this week. Mr Bourgault has rep for being rough on his horses in the past. Now, I dont know. BUT this I do know..He's playing nice in the Monti yard over the last year plus and is being 'allowed' to make a dent there.  No Sowers, someone has to pick up some of the slack. Include #7 in early double here just in case next week..is this week.

Enjoy your comments JC but we will likely differ in race 1 and 2

In race 1, I totally agree with you on the 4 having a big shot. But I believe he gains class relief with a loss today and that would be a logical thing for the connections to do.

In race 2, also agree on the 7 . Dirty him up one more race but tossed due to post.

Race 1
2 safeandsound hanover...gets a huge driver change. Tommy Merton had this one floundering 3 wide in last with no shot
3 Comanche Creek...one horse barn for hernandez and he has this one in great form

Race 2

Need 2 sweet ginger for the DD. Zeke trainer really liked Mike Merton in the bike.

BTW DD with the 3 was pounded only with the 2 in race 1...

Race 3  starts p5 ...lots of newcomers with the 8 opening up with $200 on his nose.

6 Dragon Hunter is my choice.Baby vs older but the race at Goshen and the Qs at Chester were vs much better than anything in this race.

Race 4

1 diva...down the road. Originally going to also use the 8 in the p5 but I backed off and singled the 1. Hope I am not sorry.

  • rainman2: yes---as i said earlier  more important things than political differences.  betting and owning horses among other things.  many other people in the world have gone through the same exact thing.  people have to learn from these experiences instead of harboring ill-will from them.  The world is screwed up because of thes things.

  • rainman2: Dougie---FYI, I never used the word 'HATE'--YOU DID!  Please don't make up excuses to the contrary!  You chose to end it not me!,  Again more excuses.  FYI, you are on a public forum here.  You only have yourself to blame for  your actions.  Don't blame me for this!
