my husband and i have owned, drove and trained horses at every racetrack  in illinois for over 51 years. we trained many big stakes horses and won 7 supernight races during our careers. I was asked to sign up on horseplop and make this post because a group of us local springfield horseman and women are fed up with these lowlife loser horsemen who flood the springfield fairgrounds every year around this time looking for free stall rent. we are here year round and we PAY for our stalls so why do these lowlife horseman think they can come here now and get free stalls while we have to pay? to make it worse their horses look like they are plow horses and shouldn't even be racing. you illinois bustouts know who you are since so there is all talk on fridays when we raced a morning and afternoon card. if you need free stalls then you shouldnt be in the business. take you 2 or 3 horses and go to the county fairs or PAY for stalls like we do. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Go race at the county fairs and get the hell out of here and stop complaining about everything. If you dont like it then come and talk to us.  Tom & Benita

Does Tom Simmons really exist? I’ve never seen the man? Benita is the only one I’ve ever seen come to Hoosier when the name Tom Simmons has one in to race here? She doesn’t race very many and always has a big goofy looking guy with her like her shadow that follows her around like a puppy dog so I thought that was Tom Simmons but I was told no. His name is Tom Kumas or something like that? The way they carried on with each other I thought that was her husband Tom? But I’ve never seen Tom Simmons here at Hoosier in the 10 years I’ve been racing here.

I don’t know where you been but rick Dane is locked away in prison in upstate New York. He ratted on a bunch of of horsemen looking to keep his own ass safe but no way was the judge gonna let him walk. Kim is a good person and doing good with her horses at Hoosier.
