New Track In Maine?
« on: July 09, 2023, 10:15:53 AM »
Rumors continue to fly around Maine that First Tracks Cumberland is looking for a site here in southern Maine to open a new harness track. From what's being said, it will be a new but small facility off I95. As you all know, i love harness racing despite me being "hammered" when i owned four cheap claimers at Pompano. Trainers bills and vets killed me and my two partners. LOL! While i'd love to see a new track opening here, I don't see enough interest for the new track to make any real money.

Sadly, nothing new here.  Pigs will fly before Maine has a new harness track. Location is irrelevant as the bulk of Cumby’s handle is generated online.  $250k several days ago with stands virtually empty.  A new track would generate zero additional income.

The state of Maine is full of nothing but fucking liberals.

Harness tracks will never get federal funding.

Too busy giving tax payer’s money away to the deadbeats,  cannabis/gay programs.

  • SwankToliverA: You're right Rainman, much more than Politics in life. Politics should not end friendships or any relationship really. Most ppl believe what they believe and their minds can't be persuaded. Imho

  • rainman2: yes---as i said earlier  more important things than political differences.  betting and owning horses among other things.  many other people in the world have gone through the same exact thing.  people have to learn from these experiences instead of harboring ill-will from them.  The world is screwed up because of thes things.

  • dougie: No blame assigned. Do you actually think we can ever be friends again?

  • rainman2: Dougie---FYI, I never used the word 'HATE'--YOU DID!  Please don't make up excuses to the contrary!  You chose to end it not me!,  Again more excuses.  FYI, you are on a public forum here.  You only have yourself to blame for  your actions.  Don't blame me for this!
