Really hard to say he's the best when he hasn't been tested by other talent. Supplement him to a grand circuit event and see how he fairs amongst equal piers. Otherwise he's just the best of this years local competitors. Nothing more.

I was there live the other night. Linda Jet is a pretty nice horse. I’m just a bettor so I don’t know about other trotters but I do know that jay hockey is on the horseman’s purse committee and he was the one who keeps letting the race secretary take purse away from the lower classes to support the breeders crown races later this year. Getting back to Ponda Jet, why take him anywhere. He’s undefeated and has near 100k on his card already. No reason to supplement him to anything anywhere. He’ll have $200k on his card and be one of the best right here in Indy.

You are correct!  You CAN supplement to the Breeders' Crown, however.  In looking at the eligibles for the Hambo and the Hambo Oaks, the following are paid up through May (and the ones that are also paid up to the Breeders Crown have a BC after their name:

Hambo:

Kruise on Dover

Hambo Oaks:

Picaboo Lady BC

Thurs at Belmont Mount Up, 3 yo, 2nd out. Pletcher. ran 2nd in fall .. horse that won ran 3rd in a G3 his next.  But he's got issues.
Last night I was at Buffalo for the first time. ok place.  Today we're going to Fort Erie, one of my favorite tracks.. Tomorrow we head for Toro .. Tuesday is Mobine.  Weds back home. Thursday is Belmont.

...and at a track where the charting and timing is often suspect. Too many average horses going middle halves in 52 and change and last 3/4's in 1:23&1:24! Long gone are the days when a driver could get off the bike and tell you the times arent whats posted.The era of 6 of 8 drivers using a watch are gone for good!
