what the hell is with you and jay hockey voting to have the breeders crown races at the expense of taking purse money away from the smaller stables like ricks? At the meeting last fall it was you Johnny Delong and tetrick and jay hockey and essig saying we needed to have the breeders crown but we would have to let management take one million dollars out of the purse account. Why are you lying and telling all of the horsemen this year that you dont know why the purses are so low? Its cause you dumbasses voted for the breeders crown and now the indiana horseman who have raced here for years have to suffer with low purses on our lower priced horses. You guys are so stupid. We need to go on strike and boycott john delong and the association until they raise the lower level purses back up to where they were last year. this is bullshit MH/P
Rarely does the standalone gambler, and the horseman come together...but I for one want to be counted in to support your voice, and proportional purses, and not be downgraded.Downgrading the purses leads to race tampering (by some) to subsidize lost revenue and us gamblers at the bottom often find ourselves with fucked up outcomes from races ran that defy logic.Don't forget there is a littler guy than even you, all together we add up!
thank you for your support. I was talking with Rick this morning in the barn and he was telling me at last years meeting it was JOHNNY DELONG and TETRICK and HIS WIFE that kept insisting that we needed to host the breeders crown so that we could showcase indiana racing and hoosier park. They were even saying so what take the one million dollars out of the purse account and over the meet the lower level horse purses wont even notice it that much. Rick is saying everyone is noticing it and now we are starting to get short horses again and its not gonna get any better. If you dont have any young sire stakes horses here you might as well not even consider racing here. We have some purses that are like 4000-6000$ and this casino is packed 24/7. Now delong and hockey are saying well everyone wanted the breeders crown so yeah the lower end purses have to suffer. Like thats fair. Get the fuck outta here. I work on our cheap horses just as much as i work on our open trotters and even those purses are all cut. Every single track around us is racing for more purse money. Rick wants to get the hell outta here. MH/P
I get it, and thanks for the numbers, an abomination - and you being an insider involved party is tough, sometimes powerful people who forget where they come from will try to use their new found wealth, success and position to squash those whom they once were - like here and now.Where as I and other gamblers are fucking untouchable, they have no leverage over us, and soon the horse player can align themself with the slots player. I and others can say things in the media, to govt, put all their bs under a fucking microscope that the horseman fears further retaliation, I don't.I got your back, hopefully I will turn into WE and we'll get back to reasonable and balanced - and give them some sleepless nights until they right the wrongs. In the meantime focus on what's in front of you, and keep sharing and we'll figure angles to use our leverage in REAL TIME in the REAL WORLD for all our benefit and against our current mutual enemies - until we're friends again!
thank you sir and if you have any contacts in the hoosier management can you please contact them and tell them your point of view from the gamblers seat. they dont listen to the horsemen or lowly grooms and as soon as one of us voice our concern, we get the same answer as that fuguzzi poster in this topic who says just go race some place else. sounds exactly like delong or one of the other big stables here who knows we shouldnt ever said yes to breeders crown. no other tracks wanted it for this exact reason. the local horsemen now suffer because a few idiots want the breeders cup MH/P
The track looks at it as a win win, the Breeders Crown is held at the venue which equates to money spent on site, bigger night handle, and ancillary purchases at the facility. Is it short minded to remove money from horsemans account? Sute it is. But they tend to look at what the return is and put the money back later. It sucks for the horseman. but if they voted for it they didn't see the big picture. Cause the track isnt sharing the revenue from the other profit centers.
Same shit at all of the slot welfare tracks. Rick can pack up his gear and go to another track with higher purses and more competitive races. This lady and Rick should be thankful they aren’t depending on handle for their purses. The racing at Hoosier sucks. Guys sit in longer there than they do at Jonkers. Let her boycott. The $0 the stable makes for the week will be a lot less than the earnings from the lower purses. I’m really sick and tired of all the whining.
Well she did need a $20.00 food credit in another thread.
