It was all unnecessary. I think the Senator meant well, and is trying narrow or eliminate the SCM/ Mike P./ Kay Kelly threads . But, the 5-2 odds on SCM turning on him was a safe bet. SCM did just that.

I have mixed emotions.  Senator kind of grows on you like a skin tag, over time you get used to him. On the other hand I can't for the life of me figure out what he thought would become of his multiple calls to SCM?

When clueless meets the real world. This is what one calls getting dragged through the mud and hung out to dry for all to see. SCM may be completely lost, but our own baited Senator just got exposed for every miserable failing,  to a stranger that suckered him in easily.
