some top guys go from 65 80.... east coast .. smaller places to race  less.. and areas were life is cheaper then cheaper

Depends on where your training them. With how competitive the racing landscape is now, you better have a good horse to pay the bills. Especially yearlings since your in the hole to begin with.

Your correct. That doesn't include vet bills, shoeing, transport, entry fees, paddock & trainers fees ,etc.

Could be, but have never heard of that. I have been with my current trainer for quite a few years now so I only know his billing practices.

 yes we just signed a 5 yr deal\

 Number one rule is
Never hire a trainer that has financial problems.  Even if honest they won’t make good decisions for you.  I call it a poverty mind set.

Depend on how much the trainer can pad the bill.If a horse races 4x in the month there is more opportunity for markup on essential expenditures!
