Cumberland dust bowl
« on: December 10, 2022, 11:46:34 PM »
Enjoying 11a et early Cumberland post.
Ontario HPIBet carrying it.

Played it from Toronto first time today (sat.)

Between the start car and the horses beginning, choking track dust.

Does this oval have active watertruck between races?
Just asking.

Like betting the cheap ones..program form rings true.
Back at it again Sunday.

They did get the water down after first couple races. Track was fine after, betting product was great if you could figure out who was going to get the lead, pretty chalky, couple decent exactas.

This track does favour front end speed.  Last turn does not have any banking , to speak of.  And the first turn comes up quickly when the gate opens

They do "race horses", and after the 1/4 pole you dont see 7 horses in a line......someone is always out and moving

Bruce Ranger , is the smartest driver there....and always gets respect in a race....when he leaves , or when he leaves and is cutting the mile. Graffam , Switzer and Campbell and veteran Walter Case, know the track and are competetive. Young Matty Athearn  and Aaron Hall also arealso  competitive

Its going to be a long winter till Plainridge opens......they will be racing hard  !

What do you mean by "Always gets respect in a race" ?
Nobody ever parks Bruce Ranger or pushes him when he leaves ? That's what you call respect ? That's bullshit. Watch Northfield. Aaron Merriman gets pushed and parked every race. That's real racing.

Good to hear on dust.

Half mile WITHOUT passing lane.  Aint perfect but will take it.

From Toronto, playing Cumberland 20cent hi5, supers 60 cent tris again this late morning into NFL early aft (NYJ+ 91/2)

As long as Cumberland results stay pgm form-friendly, we'll continue to follow the action. Cumberland pgms and replays also avail. up here in Canada (((i consider it playable like Red Mile/Hawthorne 2nd track: Oakgrove)))

For us in Canada, CUMBERLAND IS ONLY ONE OF THREE NEW ENGLAND/NY/NJ/PENN harnesstracks that Ontario and Canada harness players are allowed to play lower than that criminal $1 minimum exotic wager we're forced to cough up if we want to play at Saratoga Harness, Plainridge, Freehold, Pocono, Harrahs Philly, Monticello, Yonkers.
(Cumberland, Meadows, Meadowlands and Harrah Philly hi5 ONLY tracks where discount wagers are avail to hungry Toronto and beyond Canadian harness players on that area's action)

Good luck all

You whiny bitch. The triples should go back to $3 minimum and the tracks should stop showing .50 cents payouts. If you can't swing the $1 play just STFU and play somewhere else.

different time Superfecta

Better to have 5 players slugging away at 60cent tri on a grade B-C track, than one 'backstretch insider' banging $3-$10 on a tri

4 out 5 cheapies and possibly younger novices are 100% guessing and wrong, leaving more reward for correct handicappers.
vs.
One veteran 'insider'$3-$10 tri boy taking big chunk of those fading pools.
