It certainly was a great race BUT 2 incredibly mind boggling terrible beyond comprehension--BAD DRIVES.
1. KAKALEY--going for 550k you dont want to sit behind the favorite guaranteeing a check? Grab the lines or are you too weak to hold a horse??? What did you get----0
2.D.DUNN--- GET OUT FROM THE RAIL AND FOLLOW THE PARKED HORSE!! Odds are 1/9 that horse will fold by the 3/4 the rate they were going-then you pull out.

I hate being a Monday Morning 1/4 back, typing on a keyboard-but those drives IMHO were a joke.

Besides that-- congrats to the winner--and it was an action packed race thats for sure--loved it!!!!!!

INCORRECT!
1. he had rail control and decided to let the 3 go ahead of him before the 1/4
2. he had until the half to pull out and follow yannick which  is where the top two ended up coming from

he had the best horse and best post  so you drive to win

Don't you think Dunn was planning on a 1/4 move? He couldnt have expected Kakaley to not be able to hold his horse.

If he pulled and Followed YG, he wasnt winning anyway. He gambled YG was gonna back up enough to give him room, which was really his best shot. It was surprising that This is the Plan hung in there for as long as he did.

Poor drive?  He has nowhere to go!  He was locked in from the start.  He can't help that Yannick screwed the race up for everyone like he always does when the money is down!
He could have got out at the 1/2 and followed Yannick. Cost him the race.

REALLY??...pocket had it right ??
the results would suggest otherwise
look, you offer valid counter points and i agree the race went poorly and oddly especially for dunn
'but lets be clear, on a half mile track you make your own breaks
when you have the best horse and the rail you don't get cute
and yes Lance is correct, get out at the half and be live, beats getting backed into at the 3/4 and losing all hope

anyway we agree to disagree

I think its possible for the driver to play the %'s and it still not work out.

With Kakaley unable to handle his horse, Dunn really was in a no win situation
