Simply the best
« on: March 22, 2022, 07:45:19 PM »
Kudos to the bastion of integrity, Jeff Gural, for his exciting Friday night card at the Pig M. Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 Gural Sucks Yourcock races. The two, so-called, best races on the card are a pair of NW $10500L5, which have attracted 7 horses each. The customers also get to watch 3 trackmaster races for horses that should be racing at Freehold. 13 races total on a Friday night, and 30.7% are amateurs!?!

    Sincerely, Silent One

Despite how bad the card is, the M handle will be larger than Mohawk"s on Friday.

Different story Saturday with the mandatory Hi 5 payout at the Hawk.

It's pretty brutal when the track you prefer to bet cards 4 amatuer races on 1 of their 2 cards per week. Does anyone come away from watching an amatuer race saying to themselves that these races are what you want to bet (even if you cash tickets)?

very simple, called a horse shortage
especially now with yonkers running their series and no 3 yr olds back racing yet and a few tracks still not open
you cant expect to have a hambo card every weekend
 its not 1980 anymore

I'm hearing that management believes that the amatuers genuinely improve handle.

Odd since they also demand the beat drivers contractually as well. Don't think the 3/4 amatuers a Friday will be going anywhere through the season
