He was supposed to get his first Co-VID PHIZER shot tomorrow at VA clinic. They called me today and said they not have enough shots for those that have appointments. I've waited patiently for VA to come thru. It was first for all workers at VA and VETS 75+. That OK. Now it for VETS 65-74. I be 74 with medical issues under control. Or so I think. So they say we are gonna put you on stand-by for tomorrow if someone don't show up. They gonna call me at 1pm.Otherwise schedule me for next week. I've been thinkin bout this. I know a lot of vets have issues. But I'm at the top,74. They better not have preference of RA'S over US'S. I won't stand for it!. US'S are always shit upon,yet we did it all.
This to HOON: STAND-BY. My claim to fame. I had some time to kill on a flight from INDIANAPOLIS to CHICAGO. I was in at time and wearin me DRESS.It was a requirement back then when you transverse. Now a days,I guess you can wear fatiques. So'S to save some cash and not in hurry I went stand-by. Same flight that I originnaly wanted to take and I got put in a first class openin. The flight itself was only about 1 hour including take-off and arrival. I am put in seat next to the most beautiful chick on planet. Not the most intelligent,but gorgeous. She goes off the bat. Are you in the MILITARY. I goes no: I'm a impersonater. What branch you in. I says ARMY. SHE goes I LOVE any MAN in uniform. We order cocktails. She asked me why I'M goin to CHICAGO. I says I got a weekend pass and headed to a Chicago suburb that I call home. I say's what about you. She blatenly admits she gonna to hotel to hook up with GEORGE WALLACE runnin for PRES and doing a campaign speech in CHICAGO. I ask here. Do you think he got shot at winnin nomination for PREZ. She goes I no nothing about politics. I believed her. IT was GEORGE'S mistress who even GEORGE did not try to hide. We had a great conver for that flight. After we landed we met at baggage pic-up. She had GEORGE'S people there to escort her. She say's to me,maybe we will meet again. I say's I doubt it,I'm probably gonna be headed to NAM in a few months. SHE goes: WHAT's NAM. WONDERFUL ending to a delightful flight.
