Dunn is blowing smoke to disguise a no try.   His first start here he had post eight and outleft Western Fame and San Domino two speed horses who had the six and seven and dived right into a hole on the first turn. 

Last week the horses inside of him were Sheriff and Mach and Cheese neither one with early foot.  You could tell at the start Dunn had no intention of trying that same thing even though on the first turn the exact same hole ended up being there and there would have been no fines or whatever bs he's saying.

8 hole or not-horse had NOTHING/ZERO PACE!! Obviously something was “wrong” or else never would’ve taken last week OFF!!

I think he just raced him very easy.  Why kill the horse for a fourth place check after getting away eighth?

He is better on a big track but he had more than meets the eye.  Actually gained ground into a 55 flat last half but more importantly was stuck behind a gapping Western Fame who is supposed to change ownership within the next 24 hours.  I wouldn't count him out .... yet.
