Best Races Seen
« on: January 29, 2021, 12:06:47 AM »
Was speaking to an old friend an we were discussing some of the best races we've seen that a horse was just unbelievable to win and even though its recent I can't help but think of one of my favorites Sweet Lous performances in 2014...what he did in that stretch of races was unreal...Dan Patch and especially the Ben Franklin was one of the gutsiest wins ive seen....wonder how good he would have been with Pierce from the get go becaus he was a different horse when Pierce got him......just curious who were some of your favorites?

wiggle it jiggle it--the jug--unreal. Same with Somebeach the meadowlands pace when he was beaten by art official after a brutal first 3/4-still went 1.47.

Bond has it right. Only two long term races I still watch via replay.

At Hazel Park 20 years ago. A horse named Big Ed that was  200 to 1, wins the race by like 10 lengths. No I didn't bet him lol... 11.wp

Campbell looking straight ahead with Dragon Again parking Lachance with Western Ideal in the Haughton?

Eternal Camnation in the Milton? was passed deep stretch by 3/4 to a length and battled back to win.

I know I’m old but watching Armbro Nesbit break the record of 1:56:4 on half mile in 1974 at Yonkers  was the most exciting to me.
