Aussie and zealand horses are looking just common lately
« on: December 06, 2020, 12:03:36 AM »
Harrison has 900 racing all look the same

Nothin special
A lot others on East  coast with down indeed look well the same.  Common
Seems like  they race good for three or four starts

Nd all down under horses seem to flatten out

Yes there’s one or a few exceptions but

Wow most are nothin special and over priced to
Get them  USA landed

Actually agree with you on this.  They come here get lasix and the good trainers have them ready quick but as you said for the MOST part they don't last.   If they come from Graded Stakes Down Under they usually have some class.   There's one at Yonkers who didn't get in on Monday but should jog next start although probably at a short price...   Dina Bolt N

Has nothing to do with the horses it’s the trainers.. most American trainers know nothing about fitness or managing a horse correctly .. they race the guts out of them for couple months and wonder why they are no good. Also the biggest issue is when they get sick they don’t give enough time and then they don’t work them hard enough training back. If you look closely you will see the guys that manage the imports correctly and they make plenty but most are lost trying to find a vet for the answer

Exactly this, plus most that come over are sold because they are not that good down there. Purdon has 3 or 4 down there that would torch the FFA ranks up here. Maybe he brings some up here. You have to have patience after they get sick. Lazarus was a prime example of being sick and racing while not fully recovered.  Jimmy did not do that horse right in the end and he raced accordingly in the BC.

Agree, horse looked good for Dylan last start.  Like to see what horse is capable of as it moves up the class ladder.

He’s gone thru many horses

His don’t last either they flattened out after few fast races

Point here is

Overpriced to ship in USA

99.9 percent of them were not raced hard down under
And don’t have to stamina to grind with those who have
Been gojng fast miles in USA since their arrivals to race track

Larry Stalbaum does fairly well with his down under stock.

That's where you are wrong. Down under they are raced to take air and at distances longer than a mile.  I've seen many parked the entire distance and win.  Over here especially at Yonkers they have no problem first over especially if they were small track specialists there.

Love to see Chicago Bull come over .... Little beast knows nothing else but to win and loves the half mile track

Most are made to go in 52 or 51. They stop for the list part on a big track with fast fractions

One race here or there does not make a difference

Ultimate Sniper beat the best in Australasia 4 times in 16 days and in one race sat 3 wide when they went a track record for half of the race and ground them into the ground.  You got that backasswards Luc
