What should be the stud fee on Betting Line?
« on: November 26, 2020, 06:11:21 PM »
Dropped a bit this year but i still think the stud fee is a absolute joke.

Buckabet looked good for four races now went into Rat mode.

I suggest 3000 dollars Canadian and you get a free breeding in 2022.

Casie will get a write off bigger than Trump for the year 2020.

I would not use a free breeding. I would consider bringing him back to the races. If you

get lucky you double dip. " Ratting Line"

Who would want a baby rat even for charity?

He just did not throw anything that could pace.

And now you have TSD and Bettors Wish and A nice bred son of SBSW.

I actually think a lot of them have moderate speed and as a result he’ll be a useful racehorse sire.

Out of all Pacing Sires only Somebeach and Captain T had more 2 year olds that earned over 20 Thousand than Betting Line.   Thats more than Sweet Lou, American Ideal, Art Major, Bettors Delight,  Always B Miki etc.

No superstars yet but definitely useful raceway horses who should improve with age

so in other words he got a lot to the races they were just bad horses
his average earnings per starter were $19k
twin b miki had fewer starters but they earned $40k
betting line had 4 earn $100k +
miki had 5 earn $100k plus and 2 earn $250k + and 2 earn $500k plus

still early and not suggesting betting line cant bounce back
also miki was okay but needs to continue to show more, his were either very good or nothing at all

NO STALLION in all of harness racing should stand for more than $2.000.    In a few years they will be all be worth zero.   The game is over.

Why do you have such a hard on about this horse?  Lose a bunch betting on him ?  I don't give a crap about him or if Casie still controls him or has anything to do with him.  I only report facts here are some.

Lost money betting on him?  ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

Next year his three year olds will be crap

He just barely came ahead of sire with 50 bred to junk mares

He will be a disaster at 3. He needs a miracle in his next year breeding. He got lucky

Buck a Bet Hanover started well. Then Nothing! And Betting Line got great mares.

I hope you bought a barnful of Betting Lines. Now we have more serious sires entering the

breeding shed in 2021. Try talking to trainers and ask Betting Lines reputation. I bet Betting l

Lines Foals dont make top five in 2021 3 year olds. Check your stats and name how much

you want to bet. Pigland can hold my money anyday.

the Downbytheseaside's looked spectacular, sold better and he has much less competition (no Captain) in Ohio

your stats are correct
to his credit he did get 93 starters from the 119 foals
when you look further he drops to 12th on the average earnings per foal
he had a lot of average horses at best, certainly no stars

If Betting Line has a fee of $100  , Papi Rob Hanover would be a steal at $15,000
