JC probably could have been best 1/2 miler ever as he adapted to any track he raced at but he will always be synonymous with The Meadowlands and a mile  track .. no shame in that ..

I never ever hung Case out when he wanted the lead. You let him go and you  knew he would carry you the whole mile. He could get a horse to do things even the horse didn't think he could. He had some problems, obviously, but i have a tremendous amount of respect or him as a driver and horseman

That’s some old Freehold trivia . Yeah and Pete would sit on one side of the bike and the horse always ran out looking into the infield . Great speed combo but the track starter would catch him some days with Andy’s bye bye . Poor Bobby Blum .
