Every day there's another cancellation of a stake race.  I think that's okay.  Owners will get refunds so their fees not lost.  I think it's fair that races can be made up next year.  The two year olds will be three which in fact makes it better for them.  Some of the three year old races should be allowed to be raced by when they are four year olds which will make the races more interesting (sire stakes, etc.).  The races for the aged trotters and pacers (i.e. Cleveland Classic, Battle of Eire, etc.) no lost since the open invitational races can be programmed as overnights later on in the year.  The cream of the crop can be invited and raced for up to $100,000.  If you have a horse that you would not have normally nominated but has been racing exceptionally well, it sort of gives the "little guy" a shot of some decent money.  No more two and three entries from the same stable so no more hogging by these trainers that hog all the stakes.  When racing returns it can be very interesting.  Hopefully, all the dopers will be gone or for the ones that weren't caught, they won't dare try any doping and cheating all the honest and hard working trainers that are trying to do their best for their loyal owners.....yes, there are plenty of us around.  Can wait to see what racing brings to our industry that's been hanging by a thread.

Bottom line here is nobody fucking cares.

Time to wean the harness racing Welfare State off the taxpayers cash.

All opportunities to do that should be exploited.

If you are out money for a horse or/and stakes payments, well we are sorry but you and your ilk have been robbing the public for 4 decades.

Now, you can please fuck off.

there is just not enough time to get all the stakes in
the aged ones especially invites are easiest to cancel for 2020
the focus will be on regional sires stakes especially in the first few months back
in most regions the 3 year olds will have missed at least 2 legs and even the 2 year olds will have missed 1 or 2
the best situation will be to get the sires stakes going first and hope by fall things are somewhat back to normal and on schedule

if stakes are cancelled, purse money should be devided by those eligible..  money is already there.  many people invested too much, not to race.
